First on-set look at Emma Watson in “The Perks of Being A Wallflower”
Thanks to MTV News, we have the first on-set look at Emma Watson, the actress that portrays Hermione Granger in the ‘Harry Potter’ series, playing the role of Sam in the upcoming movie The Perks of Being A Wallflower, which is set to be released in theatres in Spring 2012.
When asked if she had the read the book before getting the script, Emma stated:
“Honestly, I had never read the book before, but a lot of my friends at Brown were hugely into it, and when I told them I had this script, they were crazy excited.”
The movie is based on the book by novelist Stephen Chbosky and is set in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania during the 1991-1992 school year. The story follows the school year of the main character Charlie, played by Logan Lerman, and explores topics such as introversion and the awkward times of adolescence.
