The Fifth Annual Quidditch World Cup is officially open!

Alex Benepe, the IQA Commissioner gave a terrific motivational speech for the opening ceremonies at the Quidditch World Cup on Randall’s Island, New York.

There are 94 teams in attendance from 27 states and 4 nations, over 2,100 athletes and close to 10,000 fans currently in attendance as the teams wrapped around the track inside Icahn Stadium.

The games will begin at 10:00 am EST and go straight through until close to 9:30pm tonight.
