Alex Benepe of IQA: Odds against Middlebury College more than ever before
During today’s round of muggle Quidditch action at the Fifth Annual Quidditch World Cup on Randall’s Island, New York, MuggleNet’s SnitchCenter interviewed the commissioner of the International Quidditch Association to get his thoughts on the first few hours of today’s action.
Alex said that the natural favorite and number one team in the world, Middlebury College – the home of muggle Quidditch – would have a lot more competition in defending their title this year.
Specifically, Alex mentioned University of Texas, University of Kansas, Texas A & M and a few other teams; however, little did Alex know that within an hour of this interview, Middlebury College would suffer their first ever muggle Quidditch loss, losing a nail biter to Michigan Quidditch 70-60.
Middlebury would go on to win their following game against UCLA. But this year promises to be an exciting final day tomorrow.
We are currently working on a video recap of the first full day of Quidditch action and will have it up as soon as possible.
