Teaser Trailer Revealed for David Heyman’s “Paddington”
Gravity may have aced this weekend’s Academy Awards, but David Heyman, producer of the Harry Potter series, is wasting no time in promoting his latest project.
Returning to his passion for adaptation, Heyman has been in development for Paddington, a live action film about the infamous marmalade-loving bear, for some time now, with little more than a poster to whet our appetites. However, a teaser trailer has now landed.
Offering only the briefest glimpse of the bear in question, to be voiced by British actor Colin Firth, the teaser offers an introduction to Paddington’s Peruvian roots. It also reveals just how the bear smuggles himself into Britain and onto a platform at London’s Paddington Station.
The film will certainly appeal to many Potter fans. It’s clear from these brief clips that it will exude the same quintessential British charm that ran through the Potter series, and the cast features the likes of Jim Broadbent (Professor Slughorn) and Julie Walters (Molly Weasley).
With release dates scattered throughout late November and early December this year, we can be sure we’ll be seeing a few more of these trailers in the upcoming months. Stay tuned.
What do you think of the teaser? Do you plan on seeing Paddington?
