Alfonso Cuaron (director, Prisoner of Azkaban) has definitely been in the limelight as of late, especially with his major success during award season for his box-office hit, Gravity. Now, he’s back with his new televison show Believe, which has recently started in the US. In a new interview, Cuaron explains that although Gravity took a total of four years to create, he still made room to make Believe as well.

Playbill.com reported that well-known British actor and presenter Stephen Fry – known in the Potter world as the narrator of the UK versions of the audio books – attended the Royal Television Society Awards in London on Tuesday evening and scooped up the award for Best Presenter. He won said award for his television show Stephen Fry: Out There, which showed him traveling the world to see how gay communities are treated in different countries.
London Children’s Ballet is a charitable trust that has been running for 20 years and gives children from all backgrounds, ages 9-16, the chance to learn, perfect, and perform the art of ballet. Their latest production will be based on the Nanny McPhee films, which starred Emma Thompson (Sybill Trelawney) as the title character.
The company unfortunately did not have the funds to gain the rights for said production, but Thompson kindly agreed to help out with the show, with the backing of Universal Studios. Find out why.
Last month we previously reported both Daniel Radcliffe and Rupert Grint scooping up prizes at the WhatsOnStage Awards in London. Now, The Big Issue has released an interview with Radcliffe and Grint, both of whom said they would love to get involved with selling the charity’s magazines. Dan also commented on what it would be like if he swapped his acting life for something different.

Real life married couple Imelda Staunton OBE (Dolores Umbridge) and Downton Abbey’s Jim Carter have recently become patrons of the charity Greenfingers. This particular charity specializes in “creating magical gardens in children’s hospices across the UK.” Greenfingers is currently partaking in a project called the Rosy Cheeks Appeal, aiming to raise money to fund for at least 10 more gardens.
We recently reported that Harry Potter actress Bonnie Wright (Ginny Weasley) teamed up with her jewelry designer mother, Sheila Teague, in order to support the Oxfam Mother Appeal. This time she has been photographed by celebrity photographer Rankin for the Lift Lives for Good campaign.
It was a successful day at the Manchester Theatre Awards for Sir Kenneth Branagh’s (Gilderoy Lockhart) Macbeth, walking away with three of the event’s biggest prizes. This adaptation of one of Shakespeare’s greats was staged at an old church last year during the Manchester International Festival. It was Branagh’s first Shakespeare role in a decade.
