Yesterday the Deathly Hallows 15th Anniversary cover was finally unveiled, and the press release from Scholastic also revealed that Kazu Kibuishi not only created seven beautiful covers for the front of each Harry Potter book, he also created new art for the books’ back covers!

The revealing of the seventh re-designed Harry Potter US book cover by artist Kazu Kibuishi took place this morning at Scholastic’s headquarters in New York City. The ceremony coincided with Harry Potter’s (and author J.K. Rowling’s) birthday, and marked the end of a drawn-out campaign of controlled releases put on by Scholastic in the previous months.

Many Potter fans showed up early this morning to be one of the first to see this amazing piece of art created by Kazu Kibuishi, the last of seven book covers that have been unveiled by Scholastic in recent weeks.
