I am moved and elated to see the Anne Rowling Clinic formally opened today by HRH The Princess Royal. Having observed the plans for the clinic develop and expand to fulfil the needs of patients, clinicians and researchers, I am now very proud to see the building finished and operating as the beating heart of this centre for excellence.

The Harry Potter Alliance Equality FtW campaign is going strong and is approaching the goal of $100,000 raised. The campaign just needs a little push for the fans.

Zoë Wanamaker – who portrayed Madam Hooch in Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone – is the daughter of Sam Wanamaker, the founder of Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre in London. She has given a very rare collector’s piece to be auctioned off at the Globe’s Gala Dinner and Auction – a cast-signed Hogwarts school songsheet.
The website CharityBuzz is currently hosting an auction for a chance to visit the set of Downton Abbey, starring Dame Maggie Smith, during filming in 2014!

An extremely rare signed first printing of Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone sold today on eBay for an astonishing $10,602. The book is a 1st printing UK Bloomsbury softcover that was signed and dedicated by (a then unknown) J.K. Rowling in 1997.
