In a video posted on the BBC News website, J.K. Rowling has spoken about her reasons for founding Lumos. “It chose me,” the author said about the cause.

Jolyon Jenkins, the presenter of the program, discusses the power that a large fan community, such as the Harry Potter fandom, can have in the real world. Jenkins looks at fandom and what it means to be a part of a fandom nowadays.

In an interview with Sky News last night at the Lumos fundraiser, J.K. Rowling said that she will never write anything better than “Harry Potter.” Rowling continued to say that she has always loved to write, and so of course she will keep writing.
J.K. Rowling hosted a very exclusive fundraiser today (Saturday, November 9th) at the Warner Bros. Studio Tour London – The Making of Harry Potter to raise funds for her charity Lumos.
It was recently announced that James and Oliver Phelps will play in a celebrity soccer game. The game is being held by the Crystal Palace Football Club at Selhurst Park Stadium in London and will take place Sunday, November 10, with a 3 p.m. kickoff.
