There has been a lot of recent casting news for Potter alum, from the stage to the silver screen to the small screen!
We’ve watched them grow up before our very eyes, and in some cases, we’ve grown up right along with them. Part of growing up as a child star in the film industry is stepping outside of those comfortable roles and into more mature and emotional characters and stories. In the last two years, many of the cast from Harry Potter have been building their careers on the broadway stage, in independent movies, and on television.
Everyone knows the stars and production staff from the Harry Potter films are some of the best the industry, and it seems that many of them have been up to a lot lately!

We reported previously of Alan Rickman’s upcoming role in CBGB, the Hilly Kristal rock ‘n’ roll flick, which is based on the owner and founder of the CBGB club in New York. It is now reported that Rupert Grint will be joining Rickman as Cheetah Chrome
David Yates confirmed that young Tom Riddle has been cast. Rumors say it may be a nephew of Lord Voldemort actor Ralph Fiennes.
Warner Bros. announced in a press release today that Dan Radcliffe, Emma Watson, and Rupert Grint are all officially signed on for the “Half-Blood Prince” and “Deathly Hallows” films.
Warner Bros. reveals who will play the roles of Kingsley Shacklebolt and young James Potter in “Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix.”
