Movie Review: “The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug” DVD/Blu-ray Combo Pack

The second installation of The Hobbit trilogy, The Desolation of Smaug, premiered in theaters on December 13, 2013 and has since made over $258 million dollars at the box office. It’s an impressive film, the one I prefer of the two, actually. There is said to be hours upon hours of special feature footage out there from the entire process – but you won’t find any of it on the April 8th release of The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug DVD/Blu-Ray Combo Pack.

Movie Review: “Gravity” Blu-ray/DVD Combo Pack

Alfonso Cuarón has long been one of my favorite directors (I can hear the anti-Cuaronites booing as I type this) and Gravity only cemented that for me. No matter what you think about his choices, story-telling ability, etc., you would have to admit that he is a visionary. It’s always clear how passionate Alfonso is, and again, Gravity was obviously no exception.

Movie Review: “Robocop”, Starring Gary Oldman

For those uninitiated, “Robocop” tells the story of a robotics corporation, OmniCorp, which has made its fortune installing law enforcement robots abroad. Dr. Dennett Norton, played by the great Gary Oldman, was one of the more interesting characters in the film. WARNING: This review contains spoilers.
