This fan film made me think about how I viewed Severus Snape. Now, I will never be able to think about him the same way again.
You may remember the enormously successful fan-made film from 2013, “The Greater Good”, which depicted the duel between Dumbledore and Grindelwald that resulted in the tragic death of Dumbledore’s sister, Ariana. Now, a new film, “Severus Snape and the Marauders”, is completed and available for our viewing pleasure!

It’s time to test your wit. Can you figure out if these quotes were said by Harry, Alan Rickman’s character from “Love Actually”, or Severus Snape?

Darth Vader and Severus Snape are scarily alike (kind of like Harry Potter and Luke Skywalker)…

J.K. Rowling started quite the conversation on Twitter: Is Snape good, evil, or… what?
Dear Professor Snape, I’m sorry if this question is too personal, but I’ve always been curious, what does Amortentia smell like to you? Mine is hot chocolate, the earth after rain, and wet dog. Also, I’m afraid I might be just as forgetful as Neville, but I think I’ve lost my potions textbook. Could you please tell me the recipe so I can study for our upcoming test? I promise I won’t try to brew it. Thank you, A Ginger Gryffindor

If we were excited on Friday when we saw Jim Kay’s Professor McGonagall and the Great Hall for the first time, by now we’re practically OVERCOME with anticipation of the illustrated edition’s release this Tuesday. Although it seems almost impossible to wait another minute, we can try to fend off desperation by reading several new interviews with artist Jim Kay – AND finally seeing how he has rendered Severus Snape and Albus Dumbledore.
Snape’s appeal isn’t immediately apparent. A sallow-faced, sadistic teacher with lank hair and thin lips, Prof Severus Snape’s sole aim in life, up until book seven in the Harry Potter series, appeared to be the downfall of J K Rowling’s daring young wizard.
