The kids of Utah Valley Medical Center were in for a very special Halloween treat this past weekend when they were acquainted with a large and intricate model of Hogwarts school… in gingerbread form.
Halloween sure did play a huge role in key events throughout the Potter series.
USA Today issued an article on the exceptionally fast rate at which Quidditch is cropping up in colleges across the U.S. In fact the National Collegiate Athletic Association even recognizes it as an official sport which begs to raise the question “is Quidditch the most popular sport at colleges today?”
Later this month, the Peoria Park District of Peoria, IL is hosting its final “Return to Hogwarts” festival. Dubbed as a form of “edutainment” (education + entertainment) the two-day celebration will be held in the main park district, which will be modeled after Hogwarts grounds which including its very own black lake. I really think this look conveys his emotions from the book, a mixture of shock and ‘I think I can do this’.”
Last week, we told you that a US judge had dismissed the lawsuit brought against Scholastic by the estate of British author Adrian Jacobs, claiming that Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire was “substantially similar” to Jacobs’ 1987 book The Adventures of Willy the Wizard.
