“Harry Potter” fans know the design team MinaLima as the force behind all the wonderful designs and props in the “Harry Potter” films. For the newly opened Diagon Alley extension of the Orlando theme park, Universal used MinaLima to help bring the park to life. In a new interview, the MinaLima team, Miraphora Mina and Eduardo Lima, speak about their work on Diagon Alley.

“Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire” gave us a tiny glimpse into the magical world outside of Hogwarts and British wizarding communities. We got informed impressions of Europe’s other wizarding schools—Beauxbatons and Durmstrang—as well as glimpses of other pockets of wizarding society at the Quidditch World Cup, notably the Salem Witches’ Institute.

Earlier today, J.K. Rowling made our hearts really, really happy with the announcement that Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them will be adapted into a new film. Immediately, we can start speculating on what might show up in the film, and in due time, we will hit just about everything we can think of. But we first want to start off with the topic that makes good ‘ole Newt famous in the first place – MAGICAL CREATURES!
Dear Harry Potter,
I wanted to start off by telling you that I am your BIGGEST fan. You are such an amazing, brilliant and caring person that I have looked up to you ever since 4th grade when I started reading the Harry Potter books. Now I am in college, but the magic of Potter will never leave me 🙂
There is one question that I’ve been wanting to ask you, and I hope you will be able to answer it. In your fifth year at Hogwarts, when Hagrid introduced threstrals in your Care of Magical Creatures class, how come you were only able to see them from the fifth year (after Cedric Diggory died)? They had always pulled the carriages at Hogwarts but you didn’t see them until the fifth book. Why is that, when you saw your parents die when you were only 1-year-old?
