January 1 - VIDEO - MuggleNet announced that Fandom Games for Good raised $2,000 for charities that are important to our community.

January 1 - Harry Potter 20th Anniversary: Return to Hogwarts saw many of the series' cast members brought together and interviewed at Warner Bros. Studio Tour London - The Making of Harry Potter.

January 8 - A new still from Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore was released showing Newt and Theseus on an adventure together.

January 9 - VIDEO - There were rumors that Hogwarts Legacy might be coming to gaming consoles sooner than expected.

January 10 - Sir Kenneth Branagh won the award for Best Screenplay Motion Picture for Belfast at the 79th Golden Globe Awards.

January 18 - Daniel Radcliffe was cast as “Weird Al” Yankovic in the biopic Weird: The Al Yankovic Story.

January 20 - The Producers Guild of America nominated Harry Potter: Hogwarts Tournament of Houses for its award for Outstanding Children's Program.

January 24 - James Snyder was fired from the New York production of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child after an independent investigation followed a misconduct complaint.

January 27 - The Tokyo production of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child revealed multiple cast members for each of the principal characters who will take turns in the roles.

January 31 - Harry Potter Wizards Unite was officially closed at 12:01 a.m. local time.

February 24 - VIDEO - The cast for the one-part Melbourne production of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child was announced.

February 26 - Daniel Radcliffe was nominated for a 2022 British LGBT Award for his allyship to the LGBTQ+ community through his support of the Trevor Project.

February 28 - VIDEO - A new trailer for Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore was released alongside a new movie poster.

April 23 - MuggleNet reported on the efforts of several Harry Potter alumni to help Ukraine, including Dame Julie Walters writing an impassioned piece reflecting on the devastating effects war can have on vulnerable groups, Jim Broadbent participating in a fundraiser, and Oliver Phelps expressing support for the foundation launched by Ukrainian boxer Oleksandr Usyk.

April 27 - The Melbourne production of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child broke the record for most tickets sold for any stage play in all of Australia, selling over one million tickets.

May 14 - Bloomsbury revealed that the author's original sketches would be included in its 25th-anniversary reprint of Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone.
