The theme for the third annual Harry Potter Book Night has been announced by Bloomsbury UK. Harry Potter Book Night took place earlier this year in February with the theme “A Night of Spells,” celebrating all our favorite spells in the “Harry Potter” series. If you attended one of the many celebrations that took place across the world, then you’ll know that this is a night of fun not to be missed.
We’re extremely excited here at MuggleNet today because the first look at Jim Kay’s upcoming illustrated “Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets” has been revealed. The first fully illustrated book in the series, “Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone/Sorcerer’s Stone”, was released last October, and since then, we’ve been waiting to learn more about the next in the series.
Last week, Potterheads around the globe celebrated the second Harry Potter Book Night, the Bloomsbury/Scholastic initiative to ensure “Harry Potter” lives on for Always!
As part of the celebrations for Harry Potter Book Night: A Night of Spells, Bloomsbury Children’s Books launched the first official global search to find the world’s favorite spell from the “Harry Potter” books. With over 2,700 votes, the Patronus Charm emerged in first place, followed closely by the Summoning Charm in second place with the Levitation Charm finishing in third.

Bloomsbury UK has just announced that the second Harry Potter Book Night will take place in 2016. The first Harry Potter Book Night took place earlier this year, and MuggleNet was lucky to be involved in the Waterstones’s Piccadilly event, alongside illustrator Jonny Duddle.
We were very excited when Bloomsbury UK announced the first ever Harry Potter Book Night toward the end of last year. Since we learned about the event, we’ve all been planning how to celebrate our favorite boy wizard and where the magic all started, with bookstores and libraries across the UK – and the world – putting on events on February 5.
It was a happy day indeed for “Potter” fans when J.K. Rowling joined Twitter – especially since for the past few months she’s been more active than ever in responding to fan questions. And today, perhaps in honor of yesterday’s Harry Potter Book Night, Jo has answered three “Potter” questions from fans!
