We solemnly swear that we’re up to no good!

Halloween has arrived at Hogwarts, and Harry Potter: Puzzles & Spells is celebrating with a special event inspired by the Marauder’s Map. Available now through October 31, the limited-time event invites players to follow the famous map through the shadowy corridors of Hogwarts, uncover a secret passageway, and earn an exclusive reward along the way.

A Little Halloween Mischief at Hogwarts

In the new Halloween event, players must reveal the footprints on the Marauder’s Map as they work toward discovering the hidden passage to Hogsmeade. It’s a fitting adventure for spooky season, especially considering the castle’s long history of mysterious corridors, hidden entrances, and things that tend to go bump in the night.

Those who successfully complete the event will receive an exclusive Marauder’s Map Treasure, a special collectible that can be used to personalize their in-game avatar.

Of course, we’re particularly interested in that secret passageway. Anyone fancy a quick trip to Honeydukes?

More Magic Beyond the Map

For anyone who hasn’t yet tried Harry Potter: Puzzles & Spells, the free-to-play mobile game brings familiar Wizarding World locations, characters, and magical objects into a colorful match-three puzzle adventure.

Players progress through moments inspired by the Harry Potter films, unlocking spells and upgrading Magical Creatures as they tackle increasingly challenging puzzles. Along the way, they’ll encounter everything from bouncing Chocolate Frogs and flying Winged Keys to Wizard’s Chess pieces.

The experience also features music and voice recordings from the original films, giving players some Hogwarts nostalgia with each puzzle. Those looking for some friendly competition can join Clubs, share lives with other players, and participate in special Club Events. Quidditch and dueling challenges also offer opportunities to put those magical skills to the test.

How to Join the Marauder’s Map Event

The Marauder’s Map Halloween event began October 12 and runs through Saturday, October 31, 2026, giving players until Halloween to complete the challenge and claim their exclusive reward.

Harry Potter: Puzzles & Spells is available to download for free on iOS and Android. Optional in-app purchases are available.
